Crew

A quick view of our crew and you’ll see that we all live the Half Full philosophy of pursuing our dreams at all costs, having fun, and looking forward to more…

Conor Horrigan

Founder, Owner and Chief Beer Philosopher

After leaving a job he did not find satisfying and taking a trip around the world (see The Poor Man’s Jet-Setters), Conor found that his passion was equal parts refreshing people, refreshing beer, and refreshing experiences.  From the day the words “Half Full Brewery” were jotted down on a notebook, Conor has pursued turning his passion into a reality.  He started home brewing on his stove, spent a summer brewing at a local brewery, and developed his business plan. He shared his vision with family and friends that were open to what could come from living the Half Full life – the Founding Family.  Half Full is a philosophy, a perspective, and a passion that Conor can’t wait to share with you over your next Half Full pint.

Conor’s Passion Project:  “Craft Over Craft”, a monthly meeting at the brewery where aspiring crafters meet at Half Full to enjoy complementary Half Full craft beer and network, share and get feedback on ideas for new small businesses.

Jennifer Muckerman

Chief Beer Artist

Brewing has been central to Jennifer’s life.  Born and raised in the grand daddy of brewing cities, St. Louis, granddaughter of a brewer at Falstaff Brewery, it is  no wonder she was drawn to the brew house. She honed her craft as the head brewer at the brewpub Trailhead Brewing for 10 years, in the classroom at the Siebel Institute, and as the head brewer at Marble City Brewing. At Half Full, not only has she found a great family to share her beer with, she has found great people to share her life with as well. Life is meant to be enjoyed and she cannot wait to begin enjoying it with the people of CT and beyond.

Jenn’s Passion Project:  “Barleys Angels” is an organization that focuses on educating, promoting, and garnering enthusiasm for women within the craft beer industry. There are individual chapters throughout the world and Jennifer is seeking women interested in beer to join us to make a regional chapter.

Jordan Giles

Chief Beer Organizer

Jordan was born in San Diego and lived all over the US before landing in Connecticut at the age of 8. Raised in Fairfield County he headed off to St Lawrence University for college and after graduation he worked for “the Man” at two large Advertising Firms in NYC. Unsatisfied, Jordan knew he needed to make a jump.  The jump landed him at Half Full, via four and a half months on the the Appalachian Trial.  We are happy to have him as he really shines with Jack-of-all-trades role at Half Full.

Jordan’s Passion Project:  “Passion Profiles” is a bi-monthly look at creative and passionate individuals who truly love what they do, skirting the boundary between work and play. With a focus on people who create something tangible, Jordan will delve into what got them started, what makes them push for their dream each day, and how they ultimately live their life “Half Full”.

Chris Heagney

Beer Artist Protégé

Chris is a local Fairfield County product.  We joke that he studied to be a brewer as a philosophy major in college.  After graduating from the Brewlab in the UK, he decided to  fine tune his craft and smell the hops at Half Full.  He is excited to brew for the locals he knows well and to enjoy some Half Full brews while listening to music, watching the Jets or unwinding from a long day of adventurous travel or work in the brewery!

Lindsay Murphy Horrigan

Chief Beer Brander

The general feel for Half Full Brewery can be directly attributed to Lindsay.  Not only did she push Conor to pursue his passion, but she knows how to articulate his vision for Half Full 10x better!  Lindsay has been chiefly responsible for communicating how Half Full is different from other breweries, from the look of the tasting room to our merchandise and social media graphics.  And at most events, she is there to greet you with a smile at the door and ensure that you have the best experience possible!

Pounce

Our brewery dog, Pounce loves belly rubs and anyone that cares to pet her.  Be careful of feeding her though unless you want a shadow for the rest of the day/night!  She is also responsible for safeguarding the brewery and giving tours upon request.
