In his influential book The Great Good Place, Ray Oldenburg argues that third places — social surroundings separate from the two usual social environments of home (“first place”) and the workplace (“second place”) — are important for civil society, democracy, civic engagement, and establishing feelings of a sense of place. We want our Third Place to be your third place outside of home and work and that’s why we try to offer guests as many options here as possible coffee and coworking in the morning, a massive bar filled with our own local beer and cocktails on tap, regular live music, a private event space, a small seasonal beer garden, and more! No, but if you’d like to book a private event for your party, click here! We have three 5-barrel fermenters and two 7-barrel foeders for barrel-aging.
